In March, Jill Hooper came to 162 Wentworth Street and made it her studio. One of Charleston's most quietly luminous painters, she brought an installation of curiosities into the shop and let it live among the objects already there. This is the sound of that. Still, attentive, with just enough warmth to keep you in the room. For the particular quality of light on a March afternoon and the feeling of being somewhere that something is being made.
