An ode to the romance of English Italianate gardens that dot the country near and far, providing both pleasure and nourishment. Erbario evokes a tranquil scene of bees humming along herbaceous borders, stacks of old-world willow, and walls lined with garden tools underneath moss-covered thatched roofs. Earthy and herbaceous notes of tomato leaf, basil, carrot seed, mint and fig sing in the warm afternoon air, blending with a shadowy undergrowth of moss and patchouli.  Inspired by 8th century stemcups, Erbario's elegantly drawn vessel is characterized by a footed base, raised band, and flared rim. Poured and fired from fine white porcelain, the vessel is coated internally in a transparent glaze with a matte exterior - after burning, it can be repurposed as a vase for stems or a decorative object.

About Moro Dabron

Founded in 2020 by London-based designers Austin Moro and Eliza Dabron, out of a shared appetite for old interiors and gardens and the memory of specific times and places. The candle vessels take their twin-handled, boatneck shape from Constance Spry's work for the Fulham Pottery in the 1930s, and are still hand-poured and fired by craftsmen in Stoke-on-Trent using centuries-old techniques. The scents themselves start as a mood, a painting, a photograph of a room that no longer exists, and are developed with a French perfumer to translate that image into something you can smell. The studio draws on English garden history and the sculptural instincts of the Constance Spry era, not to reproduce the past but to keep its patience and specificity alive.
