Lantern Pendant Small

The Lantern Pendant Small presents a sculptural study in scale and light. Two mirrored half-domes meet at the equator to form a silk shade, its surface wrapped in Dupioni raw silk that diffuses light with quiet luminosity. A hand-finished tassel and custom metal hardware anchor the form, while the pendant’s suspended silhouette gives it a weightless presence despite its compact size.

Designed as part of Workstead’s Lantern Collection, the fixture draws on the language of traditional paper lanterns, translated through a material palette of silk and metal. The studio is known for work that balances architectural clarity with atmospheric depth, often exploring how light can shape mood and proportion within a space. Each pendant is made to order in the United States, with finish and cord variations that allow the form to adapt to different interior contexts.
