Serpente Cushion

The hand-illustrated artwork of Gergei Erdei's ‘Serpente’ cushion is inspired by the murals of Villa Kerylos, a Greek-style villa built on the French Riviera by the Rothschild family. The snake motif in the centre is elegantly framed by a trompe l’oeil pergola adorned by St Jacob’s shells and Pompei style fish motifs in each corner. The ivory background has an antique stonewashed effect which gives a rustic flair to this versatile design.

Gergei Erdei is a London based multidisciplinary artist and designer of interior decor.  Formerly a part of the design team at Gucci in Rome,  his bold and sophisticated style are infused with a vast library of historical references.  With his instantly captivating style he transforms influences from the past into artisanal home decor accents into objects to live with you in both the present and future.
