Azzurro Piatto Platter
Handmade in London by Italian-born artist Giuseppe Parinello, the Nero Piatto platter reinterprets classical motifs through contemporary form. The oval shape is bordered by a hand-painted wave rendered in deep nero underglaze, a restrained gesture that frames the surface with quiet movement. Each piece is slip cast, finished, and glazed by hand, yielding subtle variations that reflect the artist’s process and material focus.
Parinello’s practice centers on the dialogue between antiquity and modern design, merging traditional mould-making and slip-casting techniques with sculptural precision. Produced in limited editions, each work carries the individuality of its making while remaining grounded in everyday function.
