Cecile Candle
Late afternoon in an English wintergarden. The air is fragrant with the sweet, heady scent of freshly cut geranium stems and clusters of opulent garden roses. As the evening sets in, a harmonious chord of moss is carried through the air by a sensuous, woody undercurrent of leather and cedarwood. Inspired by 8th century stemcups, Cecile's elegantly drawn vessel is characterized by a footed base, raised band, and flared rim. Poured and fired from fine white porcelain, the vessel is coated internally in a transparent glaze with a matte exterior - after burning, it can be repurposed as a vase for stems or a decorative object.
