T12 Okubo Garden Shears in Silver

Forged in Sanjo, Niigata by the Toyama family, who have been making blades after the manner of Japanese swords since 1861. The acute-angled blades cut without crushing plant fiber — clean through soft green stems, satisfying on woodier ones. Dead-heading, cut flowers, light pruning: they handle all of it with the same precision. The round handles give you just the right sensitivity for delicate work and enough grip when you need it. Hand-forged and sharpened individually, so minor variations in the finish are part of the object. Built to last generations with proper care.

Care: Wipe clean and dry after each use. Do not use on wire, dried material, bamboo, or frozen branches. Apply a light coat of oil while wiping to protect the blade.
