Kenzan Extra Large

Kenzan, often called flower frogs, are the traditional base of ikebana and do away with floral foam entirely. Brass pins set into a heavy lead base hold woody branches and soft green stems in any position you choose. Make criss-cross cuts into the bottom of thicker twigs so they seat more easily, then lower the kenzan into a shallow dish or saucer of water and top up daily. The extra large size anchors substantial branches and fuller arrangements.

Material: Brass pins, lead base, rubber underside
