Karst × Mandy Maria “Velvet Peak” Puzzle

This limited-edition collaboration between Karst and Scottish artist Mandy Maria reinterprets Velvet Peak, her study of the Cairngorm mountains, as a 1,000-piece puzzle. The composition layers pale pastels over grounded forms, capturing the stillness and tension of the Highland landscape. Presented in a linen-wrapped case, it invites a slower pace of looking, part exercise in assembly and part reflection on place and tone.

Maria’s practice draws from the topography of northern Scotland, translating shifting light and rugged contrast into fields of subdued color. In partnership with Karst, the work moves from paper to puzzle, extending her exploration of texture and rhythm into the tactile.
