The Hockley Heritage - Two Gallon HDG in Haws Green
After a five-year absence, the Hockley Heritage Watering Can makes its much-anticipated return — exactly the kind of find that earns a permanent place in a well-lived home.
First designed by David Pennock in the early 2000s, it embodies Haws' century-old tradition: tooled in their West Midlands workshop and hand-finished with care that cannot be replicated at scale. Its distinctive pressed lattice body — formed under 80 tons of pressure — ensures decades of faithful service, while the curved steel handle, wooden top grip, and coarse spray rose make it a pleasure to use.
Hot-dip galvanized for rust resistance and painted in signature Haws Green, it's a piece of gardening history as worthy of admiration as it is of daily use.
Established in 1886, Haws is the world’s oldest manufacturer of watering cans, and their products are as enduring as their reputation. Expertly handcrafted and built to last, their metal watering cans take more than 200 steps to make. It’s traditional British engineering at its finest, and all happens in their workshop in Smethwick, West Midlands.
